Greetings, climate crisis deniers. Well, as Rush used to say, you can't make this stuff up. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is leading 10 other state AGs in a lawsuit against BlackRock, state Street Corporation and Vanguard Group. And who are these guys? Well, these are the largest asset managers in the world. And their crime? They have allegedly conspired to use anti-competitive trade practices to artificially constrict the coal market. Trade practices to artificially constrict the coal market. And, according to Paxton, they acquired substantial holdings in all significant publicly held coal producers in the US, allowing them to have the power to control the coal company's policies. Okay, carl, why are asset managers interested in controlling coal companies? Well, it seems they want to reduce our coal output by more than half by the year 2030. And it all stems from this stupid ESG crap, which is environmental, social and governance. Basically, esg is this your company won't get loans for capital unless you play ball with the woke bunch, which includes the social justice warriors and the climate crisis wackos. Justice warriors and the climate crisis wackos. These asset managers utilized climate activist groups like Climate Action 100 and Net Zero Asset Managers. They signaled their mutual intent to reduce the output of coal. Now, even though coal-powered plants are on the decline, west Virginia, wyoming, missouri, kentucky, utah, north Dakota, indiana and Nebraska rely on coal for over 35% of their needs. Taking over the business of coal production by clueless bean counters will predictably increase the cost of electricity for these nine states and likely for Americans across the country. There are 10 states that joined this lawsuit, and they are Alabama, arkansas, indiana, Iowa, kansas, missouri, montana, nebraska, west Virginia and Wyoming. In a statement issued by Paxton's office quote Texas will not tolerate the illegal weaponization of the financial industry in service of a destructive, politicized environmental agenda. Blackrock, vanguard and State Street formed a cartel to rig the coal market, artificially reduce the energy supply and raise prices. Their conspiracy has harmed American energy production and hurt consumers, which is a stunning violation of state and federal law. By the way, this ESG crap is finally falling apart, and for a number of very good reasons. Now here's some really dumb stuff from our buddies over in the UK, and again you can't make this stuff up. Are you ready for this?

Doctors in the UK have been told by the NHS, which is the National Health Service, to stop prescribing blue asthma inhalers used by millions of patients. The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence, which is another Lamy outfit, claims the devices are causing climate change. They say blue inhalers only relieve symptoms rather than addressing the underlying causes of asthma attacks and wheezing. All patients over 12 should instead be given newer combination inhalers which contains a low dose of steroids. Oh, that sounds like a good idea. Eh Well, according to NICE, n-i-c-e, n-i-c-e wait a minute, I thought that was the National Institute for Health and Care. What do they do with the H? N-i-c-e? Oh, I know it has nothing to do with health, I digress. Anyway, according to NICE, the steroids help to reduce inflammation in the lungs and prevent asthma attacks.

Now here's the really awful part. Here's the really awful part. Patients will be told that inhalers are bad for the environment. They contain a hydrofluorocarbon propellant which you guessed it has a greenhouse gas effect. Patients get a leaflet claiming one inhaler has a bigger carbon footprint than riding 75 miles in a gas-powered car, which I find hard to believe because there are a ton of ways to phony up those numbers. So, while your 13-year-old daughter is gasping for air, read the pamphlet and hope the new stuff actually works. Read the pamphlet and hope the new stuff actually works. Apparently, the Brits have learned nothing from the medical melee that was COVID. So there you have it. Greedy bean counters are called to task and medical devices that relieve suffering are being pulled. Folks, esg, your carbon footprint, co2, the climate crisis are all scams to gain control over your life. Mankind is not causing the climate on this planet to change. It's a ridiculous notion and needs to be stopped. Cheers.
