The Climate Change Hoax

Lakes, Reefs and Floods - Part 1 - Lakes

Karl Michael Season 1 Episode 31

Is the climate crisis just a cleverly constructed narrative to control you? Join us on the Climate Change Hoax Podcast, where your host, Karl Michael, pulls back the curtain on the myths surrounding the Great Lakes' water levels and the so-called climate change narrative. We kick off a special three-part series focusing on lakes, reefs, and floods, exposing the contradictions in the climate change story. Discover how data from the Army Corps of Engineers reveals the truth behind the cyclical nature of the Great Lakes' water levels, contradicting the alarmist claims that both high and low levels are due to global warming.

Speaker 1:

The Climate Change Hoax. If you're suspicious that this climate change stuff may be exaggerated or just total BS, you've come to the right place. Welcome to the Climate Change Hoax Podcast With your host, carl Michael. Here you'll learn the truth about the deceivers who want you to believe we can actually control the weather. We cannot. The real goal is to control you. This is the Climate Change Hoax.

Speaker 2:

And greetings crisis deniers. Well, buckle up for more climate lies from the left. In this special three-part series Lakes, reefs and Floods Are the Great Lakes water levels falling Well? Back in 2013, a bunch of climate wackos claimed this. It's no secret that, partially due to climate change, the water levels in the Great Lakes are getting very low.

Speaker 2:

Rising temperatures, extreme weather, damaged ecosystems and rising sea levels are affecting all parts of the world, and the Great Lakes are no exception. Home to 84% of North America's fresh water and 21% of the world's fresh water, the lakes are becoming ever more threatened as temperatures on Earth continue to rise. Lake Erie has been particularly prone to the impacts of rising carbon dioxide concentrations and warming lake temperatures. Tourism, recreation, fish and wildlife, and shipping are all being impacted by the changing climate, and the situation is expected to only worsen in the decades to come. According to the Great Lakes Integrated Sciences Assessment by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, future land use and climate change could drastically exacerbate algae blooms on the lakes, killing fish and wildlife, threatening human health and diminishing water quality. The study notes that the average air temperature in the Great Lakes region has risen by 2 degrees since 1900. In recent years, the Great Lakes waters have warmed faster than the surrounding air temperature, with Lake Superior warming twice as fast as the air since 1980. Okay, then let's look at the 2020 data from the Army Corps of Engineers, which clearly shows the Great Lakes are currently benefiting from record high water levels.

Speaker 2:

While just a few years ago, alarmists claimed global warming is causing low water levels, in fact, water levels have been above normal since 2014. Now these guys will likely claim global warming causes high water levels, but they've already claimed global warming causes low water levels. Folks, real science does not allow activists to flip on. What they assert is settled science. Any attempts to claim global warming causes water-level volatility is always contradicted by scientific evidence. During the late 20s and 60s, alarmists and their media allies claimed, during a short-term decline in levels, that climate change was bringing a new normal of low water levels to the Great Lakes.

Speaker 2:

Think Progress, a bunch of liberals in 2013 claimed several different climate models. There's those models again for the Great Lakes region. All predict that lake levels will decline over the next century. Since then, great Lakes water levels have reached their highest ever recorded and have sustained abundant above-average water levels since 2014. Folks, looking at the Army Corps of Engineers water level data, you'll clearly see the levels are cyclical, meaning of course they go up and down, and the long-term average for each lake is represented by a straight line. Leftist organizations will only seek data that will support their narrative, which is always a crisis, and a crisis, according to the leftist politicians and their phony scientists, can only be averted by more power and more money. Cheers.
