Speaker 1:

The Climate Change Hoax. If you're suspicious that this climate change stuff may be exaggerated or just total BS, you've come to the right place. Welcome to the Climate Change Hoax Podcast With your host, carl Michael. Here you'll learn the truth about the deceivers who want you to believe we can actually control the weather. We cannot. The real goal is to control you. This is the Climate Change Hoax.

Speaker 2:

And greetings crisis deniers and greetings crisis deniers. Let's examine all the GOP primary candidates energy policies and views on climate change. There are 13 candidates competing for the Republican nomination to run against Joe Biden in 2024. In 2024. They are Ryan Binkley, doug Burgum, chris Christie, ron DeSantis, larry Elder, nikki Haley, will Hurd, asa Hutchinson, perry Johnson, mike Pence, vivek Ramaswamy, tim Scott and Donald Trump. First up is Ryan Binkley. This is from his campaign website.

Speaker 2:

America should never depend on foreign nations for our energy, especially those nations who fear and oppose our way of life. His goals are to make America a net exporter of energy, expand the use of nuclear energy, promote American-grown biofuels and responsibly expand the exploration and development of America's oil, natural gas and coal. Okay, ryan sounds good. Okay, ryan Sounds good, but responsibly expand bothers me as a red flag for political double talk. Doug Burgum, the governor of North Dakota. This from his campaign website. We need to stop buying energy from our enemies and start selling energy to our friends and allies. Well, it sounds like Doug is all about gas and oil and doesn't really buy into the climate change hoax, right? Well, in 2021, at the start of his second term as governor, he announced a goal for North Dakota to be carbon neutral by 2030. Sounds to me like this guy talks out of both sides of his mouth.

Speaker 2:

Chris Christie, former governor of New Jersey. I have nothing to report on Christie's energy policies or his view on climate change. On Christie's energy policies or his view on climate change, his campaign's mantra is truth matters and is entirely centered around the criticism of President Donald Trump. Christie's failed bid for the Republican nomination in 2016 was a disaster. He got only 1.8% of the vote in the Iowa caucuses and a mere 7.4% in the New Hampshire primary. Perhaps his ignorant and misguided criticism of President Trump will likely be the reason why he loses again. Christie joins the ranks of Hillary Clinton with a snowball's chance in hell of ever being president.

Speaker 2:

Ron DeSantis, the governor of Florida. He recently condemned climate change alarmists during Hurricane Idalia's aftermath Quote. We've got to stop politicizing the weather and stop politicizing natural disasters. I think sometimes people need to take a breath and get a little bit of perspective here. Governor DeSantis' are causing climate change. He tends to just ignore them and their dangerous views, which is what we all should do. Good luck, ron.

Speaker 2:

Larry Elder. Mr Elder's campaign slogan is we have a country to save. This, of course, is very true. I was unable to find anything on his website about the climate or energy policies. However, I do know environmentalists hate this guy. Larry has tangled with Gavin Newsom and many other climate wackos. His relationship with Dennis Prager also bodes well for Larry as likely having a pragmatic approach to the climate. Good luck, larry.

Speaker 2:

Nikki Haley, former governor of South Carolina. I was unable to find anything on her website about climate or energy policies. However, in 2015, while governor, after a horrible shooting tragedy at a black church in Charleston, she insisted the Confederate flag on the grounds of the Capitol be removed. Many proud Southerners viewed this as unnecessary and divisive and suggests she is just as likely to cite natural disasters as justification for bad climate decisions.

Speaker 2:

Will Hurd, former representative from Texas. This is from Will's campaign website. If the United States is going to maximize the advancement of our citizens while sustaining harmony with our planet, we have to stop listening to extreme environmentalists and climate deniers. Stop listening to climate deniers, nuff, said Asa Hutchinson, the former governor of Arkansas, from his campaign website, quote Embrace an all-the-above policy by reversing restrictions on pipeline construction and drilling, removing barriers to nuclear power and ending the war on fossil fuels. Okay, asa, your all-the-above policy bothers me as another red flag for political doublespeak. Perry Johnson this is from Mr Johnson's campaign website. Quote Climate extremists wish to see us immediately end our dependence on fossil fuels.

Speaker 2:

This is unrealistic and unwise. I differ strongly from the Biden administration on that position. I would repeal Biden's climate extremist executive orders immediately upon becoming president. Good luck, perry. Mike Pence, former vice president, former governor of Indiana. So let's move on, shall we? Vivek Ramaswamy this is from Mr Vivek's campaign website. Quote Drill frack and burn coal. Abandon the climate cult and unshackle nuclear energy. Unquote. Good luck, vivek.

Speaker 2:

Tim Scott, the senator from South Carolina. His campaign website is lacking any direct stance on climate change. Either way, however, he is for energy independence. That is clear. But does it mean he will stand up to the climate wackos? Donald J Trump, the 45th President of the United States. President Trump's energy policy, from his campaign website, says this quote when I am back in the White House, I will bring back a pro-American energy policy at long last. Pro-american energy policy at long last. This great undertaking will also help restore hope and aspiration to America's young people, instead of being irrationally terrified by political predictions of climate apocalypse. Good luck, mr President. During the first GOP debate, most of the candidates avoided the climate change question like the plague. There were only two that did not. That's Vivek Ramaswamy and President Donald J Trump. Regardless of who wins the GOP primary, it is crucially important for the economy and our future. The winner recognizes this so-called climate crisis for what it is it's a hoax and will govern accordingly. Cheers.
